Racked tubes can be ordered either pre-locked or non-locked.
TwistLock feature prevents tubes rotating within the rack so enables
automated capping and decapping of screw caps.
Compatible with the XSD-96 range of tube capper/decappers to
automatically remove and recap screw caps from racked tubes.
TwistLock is provided as standard, however some racks are available
without TwistLock for use on specific automated systems.
Racks fitted with our LidLock latch are designed to withstand “drop test” for added sample security.

FluidX racks can be supplied with a unique 2D barcode identifier.
Can be read at the same time as the tube 2D barcode when using a FluidX whole rack reader to
provide automatic rack orientation and more secure sample tracking.
Direct Laser Etching Of Racks
Cutout windows on the rack sides allow the linear barcode to be read
more easily. Linear barcodes can be laser etched directly onto the rack.
TPE Septum Caps
Suitable for use with any 96 well format FluidX tube.
White, disposable caps manufactured from thermoplastic elastomer.
Temperature range -80 to 110°C.
Reduce Sample Loss
A significant amount of liquid can become trapped within a standard screw cap resulting in the loss of valuable sample material. The “hollow” area on the cap catches the sample and surface tension then makes removal difficult.
Studies demonstrate that our new screw-cap design significantly reduces this effect by offering a much lower liquid retention than many existing caps while maintaining seal quality.

The single-use AirFilm aluminium film is designed for economical,
individual sealing of polypropylene microtubes in 96 or 384 format racks.
Creates an air-tight seal that can be easily removed by peeling.
Suitable for low temperature sample storage ( -196°C). Not for use in liquid phase Nitrogen.
Reduce Risk of Sample Damage
Heat transfer during sealing process is lessened by the “embossed” seal construction which creates an air pocket between the seal and tube.
AirFilm seals can be pierced with suitable liquid handling tips.
SBS format screw-cap carrier enables capping of un-capped 96 format tubes.
Improve Process Efficiency
Pre-capped tubes (with screw caps) need to be decapped before use. The FluidX Cap Carrier enables uncapped tubes to be used immediately and then capped using an automated
screw-cap capper / decapper, leading to improved process efficiency and allows batch filling
of tubes prior to capping.
